This Senior Care Worker Nights (Part Time) opportunity offers a competitive salary of £17.50 per hour and aims to attract experienced care professionals who want meaningful leadership and hands-on responsibilities. Working part-time nights, you’ll supervise colleagues, ensure high standards, and develop your leadership potential while supporting the wellbeing of vulnerable residents.
Applicants must be experienced in adult care and comfortable leading shifts, sometimes deputising for managers. A Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care is desirable, but willingness to achieve it is welcomed. If you can travel within 15 miles, your work-life balance and commute are manageable. Flexibility and a supportive attitude are valued.
Responsibilities & Daily Life
You’ll alternate your week between scheduled nights, leading and supporting care teams, managing medication and care planning, and ensuring daily operations run smoothly when senior managers are absent.
Your ability to supervise and motivate care staff, carry out appraisals and 1:1s, and ensure safe, respectful, and person-centred care delivery will be tested and developed in this role.
Beyond direct care, you’ll also be expected to maintain robust records, conduct audits, and champion infection control, fire, and health & safety standards, contributing to a safe home environment.
Leading by example is critical. You’ll administer medication, oversee care documentation, support meaningful activities, and actively encourage resident independence and dignity.
